The Northern Sun: A New Community Club Coming to Home Focus Pimpama
We are excited to share some big news for Home Focus and the Pimpama community. Plans have been lodged for The Northern Sun, a new community club at Home Focus Pimpama. The project is a collaboration between Baycrown Property Group, the Gold Coast Suns, and Australian Venue Co. It will be the first community venue of its kind for the Suns, offering something truly unique.
Family Friendly Hub for the Northern Gold Coast
The Northern Sun has been designed as a family-oriented, well-managed community space where locals and visitors can come together for dining, entertainment and social connection.
Planned for our Nexus Drive precinct, the single-storey venue will feature a spacious bistro and beer gardens. Additionally, it will include a large children’s playground and family-focused amenities. On weekends, kids’ entertainment will be offered, along with live music and other events. These events will include trivia nights, acoustic performances, and DJs.
The venue will provide financial assistance to local sporting groups and community organisations.
In addition, it will offer ongoing support, resources, and opportunities for them to thrive and grow. Furthermore, these initiatives aim to strengthen connections and build a vibrant, thriving community.

Gold Coast Suns Chairman Bob East said the project is an exciting new chapter for the club:
“We’re excited to take the next step in the process as we strive to find diversified revenue opportunities for our football club that positively impact the local community, in a uniquely Gold Coast fashion.”
He added that The Northern Sun would play an important role in the region’s growth:
“Our aim is that this community venue will provide a family-oriented hub on the northern Gold Coast for the rapidly growing population to enjoy food and entertainment in their own backyard.
